Re: [Simply Computers] PC dont work after a power blackout

Get a power supply tester, it could be that only the 5 volt light is working on it. You may have to re-set the BIOS and change out the battery.

My PC cannot power on after a power blackout, I dont think it is the power supply because there is light that was blinking so there is an electricity on the power supply, is it possible that my Mobo or my processor might be damaged because of that blackout, Ill appreciate any help before I throw my Mobo and replace it with another one. Thanks

[Simply Computers] slow computer

I have noticed that my browser was beginning to slow down and not respond. I was using Firefox. I installed the updates and now I can't even get it to open. I tried using Internet Explorer 8 and it was slow. I cleared my cookies, history, temp. files, etc. from both browsers. Now, Windows Live 2011 is slowly freezing up intermitently. Everything is starting to not respond. I have AVG free Anti-virus, Windows 7 64 bit, Interet explorer 8, I believe Firefox 4. I have used programs to fix the registry and nothing is helping. I used Easy Cleaner to do this. Any help would be appreciated!! If I left something out, let me know and I will answer you.

[Simply Computers] Re: Help setting up home Network

How far have you gotten?

Can you "see" the other computers on your network, but just not open them?

Or can you open the computers and see folders on them, but just not access the folders?

When I was setting up my network, I did all the things that Vincent mentions in his posting, but still was not able to open folders on the other computers.

I finally solved it by making the same Users/Passwords on all computers, which gave me access to the files/folders that that User had access to.
