If you get an USB to Cat5 NIC cable adapter WinXP will see if and allow you to get the rest of the drivers.
The other way would be to use a Linux Live CD to download the Dell LAN driver at least, then start up Windows to get all the updates, etc.
Dell 4600 WinXP drivers:

The last one on the above link is the driver.

Ok....so while I was waiting for my new memory, my son ended up with a virus on his computer. I couldn't get rid of it so I reformatted. The device manager says we are missing drivers.....
Ethernet
Multimedia Audio
SM Bus Controller
Video controller (VGA)
I went over to Dell on my computer to look for them but I have NO idea!! ackkk! Device manager wants to connect to the internet to find the drivers but I can't get him connected without the driver(s) so I'm stuck. I did use the resource cd that came with his computer but apparently the drivers I need are not on that cd? Can you help?
Dell 4600.....Win XP
Thanks.....a very appreciative to people that work on computers,
Jeanne
