You can change that if you want, Rob.
If you are using an email management program such as Thunderbird, then
it's in Tools/Account settings (or equivalent depending on the program).
If you are using a browser to read and send mail online, then log on to
your account; go to options in the top right-hand corner; select more
options; in the menu on the left select ''Accounts''; under ''Accounts''
in the new page which opens, click on ''Yahoo! Mail''. The page which
then opens is where you can type in anything you like as the ''From''
name. Note that any changes will apply to all the mail you send from
that account.
There are also ''disposable addresses''.
