RE: [Simply Computers] Outlook Express

You're subject is a bit misleading if the version of Office you installed
contains Outlook. Outlook is not the same as Outlook Express (OE). OE is a
long-standing windows email client that died with XP. Outlook is in Office
or in a standalone version and has been in production since Office 97.

If you want to use Outlook, yes, you need accounts setup.

I'm an Outlook user since '97.

You can configure Yahoo to work in Outlook but you'll need to upgrade Yahoo
to a pro account. That said, I would need more information regarding how you
use Yahoo to answer more definitively.

Gmail works nicely as an IMAP account in Outlook. RSS feeds, if you use
them, also work well.

Subject: [Simply Computers] Outlook Express

Awwwright Gurus - no help from google here. I recently installed Offiee
2010. Any time I try to click on a response link the reply form pops up as a
word or outlook document. I did a whole email response and then couldn't
find a way to send it. Nothing to click "send." I ASSUme I need an outlook
account. Any pro's or con's on signing on to outlook? Will it adversely
effect my Yahoo mail program? I don't even know how to restore yahoo as my
default email answerer. MS office seems to have taken that over. Any help
form the Gurus?
Regards,
Carl
