Hi,
If I understand your post correctly, this computer (your son's) can't connect with the Internet.
But some of your message is confusing: he has an Ethernet card - and the drivers are now correctly installed - but you say "He has a wireless adaptor that connects from the connection I have"
In your system there should be a modem/router. This router may be wireless. Any computer with a functional wireless adaptor should be able to connect to it HOWEVER most wireless routers require a passcode to be entered to allow access.
On the other hand, if your son's computer can be directly linked to the router by way of an Ethernet cable we may be able to make some progress. Go to Start | Run and type in CMD then press Enter. Type in "ipconfig /release" {without the quotes} and press Enter. Type in "ipconfig /renew" and Enter. Among the many number that display there should be one similar to 192.168.1.5 - the two last number sets can differ and can have up to three digits. Next type "exit" and Enter.
If you got the 192 sequence you should then have access to the Internet.
Hope this has been helpful.

He has a wireless adapter that connects from the connection that I have (I'm connected with the phone line), that's says it's working correctly but I still can't get him to the Internet. I'm thinking maybe I have to call Verizon to re-enter the connection settings?
