[Simply Computers] How do you ensure a hard drive always keeps the SAME drive letter please ?

 

Has anyone found a way of an external usb hard drive keeping the hard
drive letter please? On one machine with win xp pro, the drive is X, on
the laptop with win xp home, it's Z, but I need it to always be the same
letter, preferably X

Any help really appreciated.
