It's called a "SATA PCI card", not a " IDE to SATA PCI card".

or you can just go to newegg.com and search for SATA pci card.

You will see both PCI and PCI Express cards, but your computer can not use the PCI Express ones.

You should be able to go with the cheapest SATA PCI card with no problems.

To retrieve the data from the old drive, you can purchase an adapter cable, or just use the connecting wires that are already in the computer.

I would disconnect the IDE drive wires, then install the SATA drive using the SATA PCI card, and reinstall Windows onto it.

Once you have Windows running, you can turn off the computer and plug the IDE drive into the old connections. Start up the computer and see if Windows can "see" the old drive.

If not, then the old drive may be dead, and connecting it via an external cable won't fix it.
