RE: [Simply Computers] Pandigital eNovel repair

There is a reset button. I did not use it until I had given up because I feared it would wipe out all the bookmarks and network settings.
When I finally pushed it, it did not matter one bit. I suspect that one of the wires in the battery harness is broken and it will only be a matter of time before I have to do this again. But the second time I will pull the harness apart and repair if necessary.

Did you ever find out if it has a way to reset the unit. Because what you
did by removing the battery and external power source is just what you did.
Sounds like something happened to the unit and it just needed to be reset.

I opened up the Pandigital and disconnected the battery. It did not work
with the charger connected. But when I reconnected the battery, the unit
returned to normal function. Pandigital has not responded to my questions
yet. When they tell me what the warranty procedure is, I will post it.

Hi,

If the batteries have gone bad to the point they are shorted
(corrosion or some such) the unit may not work with either wall power
or USB power. Open up the battery compartment, take out the batteries
and try the wall power again.
