Also, you probably paid for it with a credit card and the card company can supply a copy receipt. Good luck.

I would first find out what the warranty period is.
These were new on the market last Christmas, right? If you have a one year warranty, and they just came onto the market last December, there's no way you could have owned it a year, receipt or no.
Try contacting customer service at the pandigital website (Google for it) and see what they say.
