[Simply Computers] booting problems on laptop

 

I have an HP Pavillion dv7 series laptop. All of a sudden when I rebooted my laptop it stays on the "Starting Windows" screen..It didn't freeze cause I can still move the cursor..Just stays on that screen..I then tried to do a system recovery and it boots to the system recovery page but again stays on the ignitiatiting "Windows Recovery" page..I can not get past any of the "loading" screens to get to my desktop..It's a windows 7 laptop also..any help would be grateful
