[Simply Computers] Does antimalware program fix or delete a key?

 

If SuperAntiSpyware tells me it found a "Broken File Association: Registry
Keys: HKCR\.exe," and I tell it to delete that problem along with the
zillions of tracking cookies it found, does that mean the broken file
association is repaired, or does it mean the program deletes that Registry
key?
