Keep in mind that it may not have come from your niece - or that it
was even her fault that her addy was hijacked.

ANY compromised system that had your niece's address on that system
may be enough to account for your experience. Likely not only was her
address in the unprotected machine but so was yours.

Of course, I could be wrong - your niece could be "patient one" for
this episode.
