Use a Linux Live CD to copy off those files to USB and then return it, as it is still under warranty. My guess is malware or other error wiped C partition.

FYI, First i went to the bios setup and set the usb dvd rom as first priority boot, i inserted my win7dvd installer and restart the computer. But it says unable to create new partition or locate an existing partition when i tried to choose drive c & d. I had noticed that c drive is empty and d drive contained some saved documents .
