Very true - I was rather surprised when I moved my system hard drive
from my old machine, which was a gigabyte motherboard with nVidia
chipset, to this machine which is a Gigabyte motherboard with an AMD
chipset. I was pleasantly surprised when it booted fine and installed
the necessary drivers for the motherboard. Usually you have to jump
through a bunch of hoops just to get the machine to boot up when the
chipset family is different.
