Ken, your hosts file is of the default type and therefor not related to what you are experiencing. As a result, I don't know what you might have installed that would be blocking a particular site on different browsers. Perhaps someone else will have further suggestions.
BTW, I is best to reply with all of the responses kept intact in order to follow what was asked and what has been recommended.
