When you ran RevoUninstaller did you do the complete removal? The updater is probably running from your start-up tray. Do you have an aversion to Advanced SystemCare or Glary for stubborn removals?

Subject: [Simply Computers] Getting rid of Adobe Reader

Abobe Reader just won't go away. I got tired of the nearly constant update
reminders, so I downloaded and installed Nitro PDF Reader (works great) and
attempted to uninstall Adobe. When that didn't work the usual way (Add and
Remove Programs), I used Revo Uninstaller and thought it was gone, but
today, I got the Adobe update reminder again. Adobe Reader 9.4.3 still
appears on my Programs list, but there is no longer a Remove button. Also
on the list are Adobe Air, Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin, and Adobe Flash
Player 11 ActiveX. Those I'm keeping.
How can I make Adobe Reader stop pestering me?
Some members may recommend CCleaner, but I'd prefer not to use that -- last
time I used it, it wiped out something I needed (sorry, don't remember what
exactly; was a couple years ago; decided I didn't like the program).
Thanks, SB
WinXP
