By the "new board", I presume you mean the Asus you just bought, right?
You sent back the one Intel board, and you still have another Intel board, which won't load Windows 7.
Who did you send the "bad" board back to ? Intel?
How old is it ... I don't see that model number on the Intel site.
Did you ask whoever you bought the boards from why Windows 7 won't load with it?
The only other thing I can think of is drivers ... XP did not come with SATA drivers, but Windows 7 does. Maybe Win 7 just does not come with drivers for the SATA controller on those boards???
Again, you should check with whomever you bought the boards from.
Other than that, if you want to send me the other "bad" board, I will try it here. Maybe I can think of something.
