Vince--Thanks, and an Update
Apparently, getting through the backup with MSE partly disabled cleared
something, because I found (this morning) that the automatic save had run
OK. I will check again next Sunday. One of the articles mentioned that many
Security systems had reported problems and included a list of URLs for
dedicated AV removal tools. I found that I had "residues" from earlier tests
of Norton and Kaspersky.
Nice to Know about the deal from Acronis--I will look for it. It's worth it.
I have it on my Win7 Desktop Machine.
The backup I use on this Laptop is a WD version of Acronis, provided with
the drive. However, it is an earlier version and the latest (Paid) version
of "Acronis True Image" has advantages.
