[Simply Computers] Cell phone with wifi

 

I am not a big telephone user so I carry an AT&T Go phone. I have to add
minutes every 90 days or the account goes away and takes whatever money is
left over.

I also have a Pandigital eReader which I was recently able to update to the
android operating system.

The eReader can access the net as long as I am close to a wifi hot spot.

So it seemed to me that I should be able to buy a go phone with wifi and
surf the net "free" as long as I stayed at Panera Bread.

I went to the AT&T store and they told me that no such phone exists. Every
smart phone would require a data account and that means some amount of money
per month to carry the phone. I believe that the lowest number was like 50.

So I gotta ask: Am I a lighthouse keeper? Does anybody else think it would
be neat to carry a phone that can net with wifi?

Is it true that no phone like this is on earth?
