[Simply Computers] Re: 32 bit or 64 bit

 

Hi Phil

I see you got a ton of answers to your questions (too much, perhaps?)

To find out whether you have Windows 32 or 64 bit, open the START menu and right-click on "Computer" (or My Computer). Click Properties, and in the next window it will tell you.

The difference between 32 bit and 64 bit is that some older software will not run on 64 bit Windows, and some older hardware will not also.

There are some advantages to running 64 bit Windows, but for backwards compatibility with older stuff, 32 bit is your best bet.
