[Simply Computers] Re: Audio on Toshiba Laptop

 

In Windows 7 (and probably in Vista), Windows tries to recognize what is plugged into the audio in/out ports, and it will often open a window asking you to verify that it did it correctly.

Not sure what the advantage of this is, but it does happen.

This probably has something to do with the problem the person is having, we just don't know the solution yet.

It may be a corrupted audio driver, or just one that is buggy, hence my suggestion to see if there is an updated one available.
