[Simply Computers] Re: How to recover pictures from bad SD card

Preeti, I tried the ZA Digital image recovery program and was very surprised at what it found.

After downloading the setup file, I did not install it into the default C:\Program Files. Instead, I browsed and installed it on a USB thumb drive. It took only 5.47MB of space.

I then plugged in an empty SanDisk SD card that I use in a Nikon digital camera that I bought earlier this year at a garage sale. I ran the ZA program and saved the results to a folder on my Desktop. On that empty SD card ZA found just 10 of the many pictures that I had taken and then deleted, but, it found about 190 family pictures, and some movies, that were taken by the previous camera owner.

The ZA program is not the easiest to use but it did get some results from an empty working SD card. Your non-working card might not get similar results but it might be worth trying.
