[Simply Computers] Re: Linux Distro

 

That was my experience also, until I found the article linked to

(http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO-2.html)

However, even after reading that, it still seemed like too much to mess with.

I had an external US Robotics modem, and Ubuntu recognized it right away!

Didn't see any reason to pursue an internal modem ... not that into self-inflicted pain.
