Hi Dave,

We're trying to help you, but personally, I don't remember everything that we've suggested before, and you didn't include the old messages in your latest post.

Please clarify what you mean by "restore disks" ... are these ones you made from the computer? Is it possible that they are infected, and all you're doing is restoring the infection over and over?

Did you get a Recovery disk when you bought the comptuer, or is there a recovery partition on the hard drive?

Possibly you need to put your restore disks aside, and reformat the drive and run the recovery, as others have suggested.

Keep in mind that a redirect may not be a virus, but a setting, and in a place that you're not thinking about.

Also, it's possible to pick up spurious sounds that are not from your computer. Are you using external speakers?

Please just reply to these posts, instead of starting a new one, so that everyone can see what's been suggested, and tried.

We might think of something yet!
