I just dont like windos 7 never have I love windows xp and I still have my old windows xp pro os disk but did not know if it can be put into a 64 bit computer system or not

Hi strippergirl,

As Joan said, Hp (Compaq) does not support Windows XP on this computer.

That means that, even if you were able to install it, some things would not work.

You will need software "drivers" for your hardware, such as network, video, etc. which hp does not provide for that computer.

I'm not sure why the disk you tried did not work, maybe it's a recovery disk from some other computer, not a real Windows install disk?

Anyway, tell us why you're not happy with Win7 ...it's different, I know, and takes some getting used to, but I'm not sure what option you have, other than Linux.
