Re: [Simply Computers] DDOS attacks

Usually DDOS attacks target a server not an individual user of the Internet. How do you know an individual is doing this? Or is that an assumption on your part?

Subject: [Simply Computers] DDOS attacks

Does anyone know what i can do to stop this? Some punk my son has associated with on XBOX Live, but doesn't anymore... keeps DDOS attacking my network.
It knocks out my internet for up to 15 minutes at a time, and he's doing it several times a day.
I have cable internet, so i can't get my IP changed..

Is there anything that can be done?

Terrie
