Re: [Simply Computers] My new Acer AM3970-ES30P what to do first?

Why not get one of those pre-paid credit cards that you can add funds to? They have some at Wal-Mart, etc.

Mike thanks for that info. I had been told wrong about the system resources needed to run it. I would like to get the full paid version of Malwarebytes for the ACER because I like having instant warnings about infections, (like I do with Spybot), but do not want to put my credit card number over the internet. Any idea where in Canada I can phone to get it? Staples here does not stock it.

Please do use Malwarebytes on your new computer though. It is worth far more then the price you pay for it.

I am a lucky lady, my very generous brother has sent me Christmas cash to buy all the bells and whistles for my new ACER and since it gives 5.1 audio I have been looking at speakers on sale. Love that bass, just hope I can hear them work in the store before buying them. He also sent me a Logitech C270 webcam that has a microphone so with good speakers I will not have to use headphones to use Skype.

Not to worry, I have been told it will not work on DSL as it is too slow and doesn't have enough memory. Only have to put up with it for another week. Get DSL next Friday!!.
