Java Software Engineer
6 months Contract to Hire
Rate: $50/hr MAX

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing programming and/or analysis
duties in support of various phases of systems life cycle. Candidate
demonstrates the ability to work independently, but is also able to work in
a team environment. Works as a team member on large project of above average
complexity under the direction and supervision of senior applications staff
and management. Occasionally leads other applications team members in
selected project activities. Completes assigned technical tasks on time
(e.g., analysis, design, development, testing, training, maintenance,
production support, documentation, etc.). Performs project management
activities such as planning, sizing, and scheduling. Performs problem
analysis and resolution activities to provide effective systems solutions.
Proactively communicates status reports and issues to manager. Successfully
completes all relevant technical and professional training programs in
accordance with goals and objectives. Strong troubleshooting skills and
self-motivation are required.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or related field), or relevant
experience.

Preferred Skills:
Java, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Http Server, Apache Tomcat 6+, Quartz
Scheduler, Apache Active MQ, MS SQL Server, Drools, Maven, JSON, Restful Web
Services, Eclipse IDE

Experience:
Min. 2-3 years of Java web development . Java developer with
front-end/back-end development experience. The ideal candidate will have
experience building Java web applications using Spring and Hibernate. The
candidate should be comfortable developing in different languages and
frameworks, and open to learning new technologies.
