[The Computer Hardware Technician] SOUND CARD IS INSTALLED BUT CANNOT PLAY PLAY SOUND

 

I Reformatted my pc MoBo ASRock 775VM800 using winxp.
have downloaded drives but my sound card cannot play a sound although hardware device manager and the system tray shows that it is installed.
please help.
