The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium and I told my machine to hibernate, not standby.
With the previous laptop, I was using the Hibernate function more often than regular Shut Down function.
However, when I used a different USB port, the cooling pad fans had stopped as soon as I hibernated the laptop.
How is one USB port different from the other one?
