[Simply Computers] Re: CPU external frequency setting

Thanks for your replies and information, I will work my way through them.

Your Question: What did you have before you went wireless? Have you verified definitively that it is the change to wireless that is the source of your current problems?

A: Initially I had a PS2 moue and wired keyboard and everything worked fine.

Then I bought and installed a new Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse the system would not boot and would freeze with a dark coloured screen after the initial system check. Windows would not load.

I then returned the M/S keyboard and mouse thinking they were faulty and bought a Logitec one, but it did exactly the same thing.

I now have the old wired keyboard plugged in and left behind the monitor and when I boot remove the USB wireless receiver and it boots fine. I then re-insert the wireless USB receiver and everything works fine, but it is a pain!!.

I run MS Windows XP fully updated.
