Mouse sensitivity or speed comes to mind. Did you try to use a different mouse, either ps2 or USB? Did you try a new driver for its brand name?

This is just another repost; id est, since May, in fact since a tech installed XP3Pro instead of using my copy of XP(3) home, a jumpy cursor seems to have become a permanent resident. I've Googled and searched numerous sites as well as posted here.
