Subject: [Simply Computers] Dial up or broadband

My son-in-law is going to college and the college is giving him a
computer for the work, then he keeps it when finished. They have
installed Windows 7 for his personal used and then installed Windows
XP Pro for college. It connects to the wireless just fine ( using XP),
but won't connect here. We have Highspeed Broadband, and when he tries
to connect here, it tries to connect using Dial Up! Just keeps asking
if they want to connect to the dial up. He can't connect at all to the
internet here using Windows XP Pro.The laptop is a Lenovo 4 gig. What
can we do?
Thanks for all the help you have given me over the years.
Pat
