[Simply Computers] Alureon infectionclean up

hi,

my mother's toshiba satellite laptop running windows XP media edition got infected with Alureon.FE (according to microsoft essentials).

using safe mode (the only mode windows will open in), i have cleaned off a number of viruses, trojans, etc since yesterday, using Malwarebytes Anti-malware, spybot search and destroy, super anti-spyware, microsoft essentials, and the microsoft removal tool.

but windows is still caught in a loop of trying to start/re-starting endlessly. and even when i interrupt that and go into safe mode, windows still acts like there are NO programs, NO documents, NO anything on the hard drive. like the infection hid everything.

is there a clean up tool/routine that someone wrote for cleaning up after Alureon ?

how do i get into windows regularly now? and unblock all the documents and programs, etc? i know they are still all there because the properties of C drive still show 30 Gigs of the drive in use and because you can see some of it when you right click EXPLORE off the START menu button.

i disabled the auto restart and got the error message:
stop: 0x0000007f (oxooooooo8, 0x80042000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
which i think is just basically that the computer reports a ram problem.

thank you for some insight...
