[Simply Computers] Re: quivering arrow/hour glass

 

As you know, the hour glass means the computer is busy doing something.

If you are seeing your cursor arrow supperimposed with the hour glass, so that both are flickering (quivering), you may have a virus of some sort, especially a poorly written one.

It may be trying to hide its activity, but not being totally successful at it.

You may also have a defective video driver, or any of a bunch of other possibilities.

Is your antivirus software up to date? Have you run any antimalware, like Malwarbytes, lately?

What did it find?

You might see if there's a newer video driver available.

Also, take a look in Task Manager under Processes ... see if anything is using a lot of CPU cycles.

You might try adjusting your mouse settings in Control Panel, or turning down Video Acceleration (in Control Panel, Display)
