I don't use homegoup preferring to manually setup the network (which is not
hard). With homegroup I had problems like yours.

Hi, I need some help please. I am using Win 7 and one of my machines will
not connect to the homegroup. Each time I tick "turn on network discovery"
it changes back to "turn off network discovery".

I have looked at solutions on the Internet and I did turn on certain
services that were turned off but it did not correct the situation so I am
looking for someone to help please.
