Did you buy the replacement drive from Toshiba? If so, why not contact them, or look on their website for a Users Forum in the Support section.
If you bought the drive from a third party, perhaps they can better answer your questions.
If you did not buy the drive from Toshiba, how did you select the proper one for your computer? Perhaps it is just incompatible?
