Angela,

It can be very difficult to fix network problems.

Please do this:

Open a Command Prompt Window (click START, then All Programs, then Accessories and Command Prompt)

In the command window, type:

ipconfig /release (be sure to put a space before the / )

and press the Enter key on your keyboard.

Wait a few seconds until it reports that it is done, and you get the flashing cursor back.

Then type:

ipconfig /renew

and press Enter.

Let us know if this fixes it.

If not, remind me: what type of Internet service? DSL?

Are you connected via a wire to the modem, or wireless?
