Ok. Well what I did come back to list for was help identifing
whats in my hijack this log file,I have it who could take a look and let me know :-) ?. yes there are some other things going on. Also fyi, I had some odd keyboard functionig last month and did a restore and it seemed repaired. My restore now does not show past a few weeks now. I also recently connected a wifi adapter to the usb port. It seem to have a few problems( I thought)loading the disk but I guess it evetually just worked. not long after this the problems seem to have started. I uninstalled the usb wifi program.

RE: [Simply Computers] Group FYI

Me too. So much help with so many problems plus lots of interesting
discussions about Windows curiosities. When I'm out in public and the
conversation turns to computer issues, I often find myself saying "my
computer group says that...," as if we meet at Del Taco once a week.

Thanks to all.

Subject: [Simply Computers] Group FYI

Hey All,
I read all the posts I think might be relevant to my computer and problems I
might have in the future. Yep, I have needed help and for the most part the
group has wrangled out ways to work my kinks (I am pretty sure I can even
follow the sacred thread now - after many blunders). Just want to let people
know that I have found resolve to many of my developing problems by reading
the daily posts and downloading and using Emsisoft, CC Cleaner, Rivo
Uninstaller and Malwarebytes recommended by the group Gurus. Pretty much now
a problem free computer and just wanna say - THANKS FOLKS 8-) Regards, hagie

[Simply Computers] BLANK SCREEN

2 centavos worth from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines;

I am an American living in the philippines...I have a 2 year old

ACER laptop that the screen is totally BLANK upon booting. I hook

it up to a external MODEM..it works great, utlizing win7 applications.

In one of the times of booting, i was able to push a command of

some kind, and all at once i had a dual screen...both on the laptop

and the external...what did I do right, or do wrong?

Here...in the area, the computer tech's want 180 US Dollars to

get me "up and running" with my BUILT in MONITOR. Since the price

of computers have fallen, don't want to spent that money....unless

i have no other choice.

Would appreciate some advice or directions.

Thanks

Bennie living in the Philippines

[Simply Computers] Re: Unable to connect to a web page

Hello,

Thanks for the "forewarning", although it would have been more helpful if you had typed your forewarning near the beginning of your message, instead of at the end.

(Kinda more of an "after" warning, than a "fore" warning, huh?)

Hope none of our readers went to the site you belatedly warned them about.

In the future, instead of forewarning us, it might be better if you didn't post the URLs of any questionable sites at all.

Sorry to hear that your computer won't allow you to visit that site, but perhaps you're better off without it??

Not being judgemental here, just thinking that if all your browsers won't let you go there, then maybe it's not the browsers. Perhaps your ISP is blocking the site? Perhaps for good reason?

Anyway, thanks for the warning, late or not ... I'll be sure not to try to go there.
