Thanks for the replies.  Sorry I am so slow replying.  My old body is slow  .
 
Sorry I forgot to send my computer details.
 
I have an eMachine D6417 with 3 GB ram, WIN XP sp3, IE 8 and use Yahoo Classic email.
 
I do not recall down loading any new prograns.
 
I have not tried Systen Restore.
 
Screen resolition is  1280  X  1024
 
Also Yahoo recently screwed up their email program and made some changes I am still finding. and don't undersand,   Things like their Notepad, calandar, and toolbar !!  To me it is a mess.
 
Last June 2010 I installed WIN XP sp3 and IE 8.  I have had many problems since then.  Mostly minor but anoying just the same.
 
One thing is at the bottom of the page there is something like a task bar that has a magnifier to increase the text size.  I like the 125% but it changes back to 100% when I change link or  site.  How can I make the 125%permanent ??
 
I have my taskbar ( the one with time  ) on thr righr side of my screen.
 
My computer has been slow for a long time.  I run AVG, Malware bytes, Ad-Aware advances system care the Microsoft security MES or whatever. Sorry I can't remember many things I used to know.
 
As I understand system restore it just restores WINDOWS and does not change prograns or deletes new programs added after the restore date.
