[Simply Computers] Re: OpenDNS Problem

Devan,

I sent you a response to your message, but after reading Vincent's response, I went back and Deleted it.

Vincent reminded me that your problem is most likely caused by an infection that you picked up before you installed an antivirus program, and not by OpenDNS, regardless of what error messages you are seeing.

Clean up your computer like Vincent said, then try your wifi hot spot again.

OpenDNS.org is a legitimate site that can help protect one from going to a bad website by accident.

If the WiFi hot spot that you are using subscribes to OpenDNS.org, I don't blame them a bit.

But I think it's the virus that you have on your computer that is preventing you from going to AV websites.

You might try taking your computer to a library or Starbucks or something and trying to download AVG from there. Also download the Malwarebytes utility and run it.

If it still won't download, try booting into Safe Mode with Networking, and try downloading again.
