I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall everything nvidia that showed up,
rebooted & still didn't let any drivers install. I set a system restore
point just in case something went wrong, then used Agent Ransack
to search for any leftover nvidia stuff. I then manually deleted whatever
it found. I rebooted again & then installed the drivers that came on
the original cd. I had no more problems, but I only used the pc few
days before I decided to upgrade a bit & bought a new video card.

Hi christine and group, thank you for replying. I tried the install in safe mode
but hadn't uninstalled the original. So, course it didn't work. Went into
Add/remove and there are an awful lot of nividia stuff in there..drivers,
forceware, access manager, same system software, graphic driver, onview, phyX
systemm, update
suggestions?
kris

I had the exact same card and the blue screens started after a windows update.
I read in nvidia forums that many
people were having similar problems. I solved my problem by completely
uninstalling the drivers, then reinstalling
from the original cd that came with the card & hiding the windows update after
that.

Subject: [Simply Computers] Video Card issue!
Things have been just fine for months..using XP, Vvidia GeForce 8600
GT..suddenly games are crashing, blue screen,,,computer reboots itself and I
have this Error 0XC000000d, location 0x0045af13. Cannot made it happy again.
have tried
-rebooting
-restoring to earlier date-unable to restore "version mismatch"
-upgrade was in the spring and tried to roll back to earlier one..same error 0X0
etc
-unable to upgrade to beta coming out as it is not compatible with XP
-I haven't got a lot of hair left, I'm not doing hair tearing...but this is
pretty frustrating. I'm afraid my card is suddenly toast and Ican't seem to fix
it.
any suggestions?
kris
