Thanks for the good report.
I'm wondering, however, if you're experiencing one or more hard drive sectors that are going bad.
It would be interesting to hear if XXClone can do a successful backup now, or if it would have the same problems. I know it worked well in the past, but your hard drive may have a new problem that XXClone never had to deal with.
