The Sasser virus has a lot going for it in that if your running XP the
program to correct in MS defaults to "normal" which only gives you 30
seconds and shuts down. If your running Norton you have additional
security breaches with another worm which recycles through the
registry. The Sasser Fix program is supposed to be run in the safe
mode, not DOS but you have to change the security to default to
something other than "normal" to give you time to run the fix file.

To make the long story short, run the install disk to clean Sasser off
your drive or drop by someone house or business who removes viruses....Dan
