Go ahead and do these things if it makes you feel better. A few years
back I tried this way of life. It was not for me but I met several
seasoned veterans. If someone tried such a tactic I would hear one of
them say something like this, "I'm going to call that person once an
hour for the rest of the week." or "Are there any more lists I can put
them on?"

Just say no and hang up. You can also say "Take my name off you list" if
you think it will help.
