I do not think you have explained yourself well...
Do you want to play your own video on whatever OS???
Any windows has the capability to play videos..
Store them on your hard drive and play them.. Real player or Windows Media player
will display them.
Another way upload your videos to a Host ISP, name each video (video.flv) ( video.mpeg) (video.wma)???
it depends on what video camera were recorded with.
They can be accessed and displayed from any where in the worlds thru the www.
such as: Example
http://www.mysite.com/myvideo.wma or (.flv) or any other extension
Then the Windows Media player or any other player such as RealPlayer will display
any requested video.
Hmmm ... I didn't ask the right question, it seems.
I want to BYPASS youtube entirely, and make videos playable from whatever OS is used (same as youtube).
Youtube videos can play virtually anywhere, and THAT'S the capability I want.
I'm hoping there's a way, since I have a slew of videos I've made.
