[Simply Computers] Help! My laptop won't bootup at all now.

 

I've been having problems for a while now, where my laptop kept just shutting off, or if the blue. Now it won't boot up at all. When I turn it on, it starts to power up, but doesn't even get past the first few seconds anymore, and then it'll freeze up completely. I've already had the blue screen of death come up, this after more than once having to do a system restore, and now I'm just dead in the water. Arghhh! I'm not a very savvy computer techy person, but I'm not a complete idiot either, I fall somewhere in between, but I was thinking this problem may be stemming from the fact that my power cord isn't firmly in place (due to a past problem, where I had to take the laptop in for a repair of the power port (I think that's what it's called, you know, the place on the right side of the laptop where you plug the power cord in). Well, after the first time they "fixed" it, I began having problems with the cord staying plugged in, so I had to take it back there for them to "fix" it again (under their warranty). But now, further down the road, the cord won't stay in position again, so I've been having to duct tape it into place to get it to stay put. Now I'm wondering if the cord might not be the basis for my problem, in that, because the connection has been so bad for so long, causing it to keep losing power, that maybe THAT is what has caused the blue screen of death in the recent past, and subsequently the inability to boot up at all. I pray someone reading my post has an answer for me, and that they can help me fix it myself here at home, because I'm SO broke right now that I literally can't even pay my rent this month, and I had been TRYING to use my laptop for posting items for sale online to help meet my rent. And I'm disabled too, so it's very hard for me to leave my apartment to go to a library to use their computers. Basically I need help, and fast. And I am SO grateful that I happened upon this site, and am hopefull someine here has some answers for me. Thank you all, so much, for reading my post. Blessings.
