Hi group. I have a problem with subject computer. About last January my son surprised me with a new computer the p667c to my surprise. If he had talked to me befor he bought it I would have told him to forget HP. For a few years I have noticed that HP and Dell are the most brands our group gets asked about.
Anyway it has WIN 7 and IE 8. It is a lot different from my older eMachine with WIN xp home and IE 6.
Anyway the HP seemed fine until about five or six weeks ago and gave many problems. My son, who lives nearby looked at it and called HP. They said to send it in and they sent a shipping box with overnight shipping and a return lable for overnight. GREAT !! They said they replaced the mother board.
They had it for a day or two and returned it Overnight !!!
It worked OK for a few days to a week or so and acted up again. It was returned to HP after they sent anothr box with ovenight shipping and return. It worked for about a week or so and scted up again.
My son called again and they said it sounded like a motheroard problen and will send another shipping box for overnight and return.
They also said a supervisor will call and mentioned they "might" send a different model. No call yet.
By the way I am 81 years old and depend on my computer most of the day. And I have forgotten many things on computers I used to know.
Also I read some of the help proceedures and forget what I read earlier.
I will say this for HP they are very active with their help and pay for shipping.
