I guess I'm not as considerate as Ardell. :) When I bought the Pro version it was merely a selfish act, without any consideration for the developers. At the time(3 years ago), they offered the lifetime license for $10(no annual fees). That same type of lifetime licensing is now $25.
For me, it was/is worth the price(even at today's price) to have protection enabled, auto-updating scheduled, and even scanning scheduled. Although I prefer to not schedule scanning, it is there if I decide to use it in the future.
