I don't mean that the software doesn't work; it does work. What I'm saying
is that it's as simple as the various companies getting a new IP to scrape
trackers. Sure, it's probably blocked most of the *known* IP addresses (as
I said in my original email) but as I've just said, they do not just use
the known IPs. It's mostly common sense that it doesn't work because
peerblock has 1 billion IPs blocked, but there are 4 billion IPs in the
IPv4 address space (that's not including IPv6 which is available in some
places already). I have anecdotal evidence that it doesn't work; both
personal experience and from others. It blocks legitimate IPs as well,
which can adversely affect one's download speed. As I said in my original
email, look into other means of "protection," but again, there is no
sure-fire way to stay protected unless you don't download things that would
require the use of protection.
All in all, it's a false sense of security.
